Akkerbouw

Op Goeree-Overflakkee en in Noord-Brabant verbouwt SvZ Akker verschillende akkerbouwgewassen in eigen beheer. Al meer dan 80 jaar lang heeft de familie Van der Sluijs een eigen akkerbouwbedrijf. De belangrijkste gewassen op dit bedrijf zijn witlofpennen, consumptie- en pootaardappelen, eerste- en tweedejaars plantuien en granen. Bij alle producten is de voedselveiligheid van het grootste belang. Alle gewassen zijn daarom Global GAP gecertificeerd.

Eén van de specialisaties is de teelt van witlofpennen. Ook voor derden wordt de volledige teelt van witlof verzorgd.

Biologische teelt

Sinds 2018 Is het bedrijf ook actief in de biologische landbouw onder de naam SvZ Bio. Deze bedrijfstak wordt strikt gescheiden gehouden van het gangbare landbouwbedrijf. Uiteraard vind wel een kennisuitwisseling plaats tussen beide bedrijven. Met deze kennis kan het loonbedrijf ook biologische klanten bedienen met een passend pakket aan werkzaamheden. Daarnaast speelt het in op de ontwikkeling waarbij gangbare en biologische landbouwpraktijken steeds verder naar elkaar toe groeien. Van deze kennis plukken onze klanten dagelijks de vruchten.
